Built in 1937 with the construction of the Hotel Las Donnas and the first cableway, Auron is one of the oldest ski resorts in the south Alps.

It enjoys a magnificent ski area -1600m / 2400m-, for all levels, and offers numerous activities in the winter and summer.

At 95 Km from Nice and the Mediterranean sea, the resort, bordered by the Mercantour Park, holds numerous relics from its pastoral history such as the Saint-Erige chapel from the 13th century, or the barns of grey stones and beams mould by the snow and weather.
The buildings, cottages and an expansive urbanisation contributes to keeping its typical mountain characteristics as well as its stamp of originality intact.
